Richard Husseiny

I've had an interest in exercise and sport from an early age.  I would play any sport going until focusing on cricket and rugby which I still play today.

As well as playing conventional sport, I spent 2 Seasons working in Meribel in the 3 Valleys of the French Alps. In between my seasons I worked on the beach front in Kos, Greece for a water sports holiday company teaching and helping in a range of sports including wakeboarding, windsurfing and sailing.

After my travelling I decided to get into sport properly and trained as a personal trainer. After tearing my anterior cruciate ligament playing rugby and enduring the year long rehabilitation, my interests swayed towards injuries and how to prevent as well as rehabilitate. I continued to study with the LSSM and then the FA before finally studying Sports Therapy at the University of Chichester.

I am continuing my study with an MSc in Strength & Conditioning at St Mary’s University College that starts in September 2009.

I have over 5 years experience working in professional football with the Premiership team, Fulham FC. This has involved preventing, treating and rehabilitating players back from injury. I have also been involved with the strength and conditioning of the latest up and coming talent in the academy. Human performance is my main interest so I enjoy training anyone aiming to achieve their best, whatever the sport or event.
